Charge cards originally were developed by banks as an easy and quick way to get people credit. Back in the old days, if somebody wanted to borrow money, they had come up with some collateral. As time went on and banks became even more greedy for money they realized they could make a lot more of it by giving these types of loans to low income people as well. The bank saw this huge area of the population as a big gold mine of loans if they could just lend the money without any strings attached. So credit cards were born and have proliferated the marketplace. Even college students who have never worked a day in their lives are offered credit cards start in a few months just before they graduate from high school which usually leads to credit problems nowadays you don’t need real money for anything like groceries or other necessities you just pull out your credit card and buy whatever you want, just remember you still have to pay it back.
You have to make sure that you don’t get into the habit of using a credit card for every little thing. They should not be used for everyday things such as buying groceries are going to the movies. This method of purchasing can cause your debt to get out of control very quickly. In order to keep yourself out of debt, you should only be using your credit card and emergency situations and for things to you know you compare off within the next 30 days. Credit cards can be useful if used correctly.
You may think that this is too old-fashioned in today’s world, but credit card debt can get out of control very quickly. The problem lies with poor bookkeeping and accounting skills. Most people do not keep track of the little purchases and tend to add up very quickly.
So use common sense when using credit cards to avoid the credit crunch.
